Genuine Ferrari F12 Spare Parts

Replacing the 599, the Ferrari F12 Berlinetta debuted in 2012 as arguably one of the best-looking modern Ferraris to date. It was the last Ferrari to be designed by Pininfarina and in 2013, the F12 won the 2013 International Engine of the Year award in the Best Performance Category and Best Engine above 4.0 litre. With its exceptional 6.3 litre V12 engine, the F12 Berlinetta is one of the most powerful Ferrari road cars produced.

Spare Parts for the Ferrari F12

The V12 engine is similar in size to that found in its four-seated sister; the Ferrari FF, but it was significantly re-engineered to produce more power, rev higher and ensure a quicker throttle response. Similar to the family of vehicles offered by Ferrari at the time; California, 458 Italia, FF and LaFerrari, it utilises a double-clutch gearbox which is operated by the driver using paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, producing excessively fast and very smooth gear shifts. The raw power produced by the engine, coupled with the gearbox and clutch system gives amazing launch control and astonishingly, the way the car manages the transmission of power through the gearbox enables the F12 to pull top gear from below 30 mph.

The F12 owes some of its quickness to enhancements in aerodynamics inspired by the 599XX and Formula One program and an array of technologies not previously seen on production Ferraris such as ‘Aero Bridge’ and ‘Active Brake Cooling’.

Experienced Ferrari F12 parts supplier

In 2015, Ferrari unveiled the Ferrari F12 TDF (Tour De France) as a track-focused version of the F12 Berlinetta which was designed in-house by the Ferrari Styling Centre and claimed to have a top speed in excess of 211 mph. The F12 TDF pays homage to the Tour de France automobile race held between 1899 and 1986 which the Ferrari 250 regularly dominated from 1956 to 1964.

A further innovation debuted on the F12 TDF was Ferrari’s newly developed rear-wheel steering system known as the “Virtual Short Wheelbase”. It aimed to increase the stability during high-speed cornering and make the car more responsive using model-based control logic which automatically adjusts the rear wheels based on the speed, steering input and the steering angle of the front wheels.

As with the standard F12, the design of the F12 TDF had a major focus on aerodynamics and a redesigned front bumper is one of the components of the Aero Bridge technology and features a more scooped lower section at the front which contributes to downforce generation and to boost the efficiency of drag on both sides and the underbody. It has a competition car-inspired splitter, dive planes, floor wings and louvres and the use of bare carbon fibre helped improve handling through a notable reduction in drag. This isn’t the only carbon-fibre addition to the TDF as the cockpit also uses carbon-fibre housings for the instruments and satellite pods plus the door panels have been cut back to a single skin carbon-fibre shell. All in all, it is a truly special manifestation of an already impressive F12.
